Channel 900 project

The project consists of a main intake channel with a total length of 35 km, a main pumping station at the bottom of the Qaraoun Dam, secondary pumping stations on the well networks, a group of distribution tanks and pressurized irrigation networks. The Authority implemented the first part of this project in 1970, covering an area of 2000 hectares of agricultural land to reach 21,500 hectares, with the implementation of all parts of the project in the future, noting that the Authority stopped irrigation work in this project as a result of the pollution of Qaraoun Lake.
